The Riado Project was created from one of the most profound moments of my life. In 2021, while embracing the joy of becoming a mother, I also faced the heartbreak of my father’s terminal cancer diagnosis. His strength, compassion, and a phrase he often said – “Laugh at what doesn’t break you” – became my guiding light.
My father’s name was Odair, and “Riado” is his name spelled backwards. This project is my way of honoring his legacy, transforming pain into purpose by helping breast cancer survivors heal emotionally and physically. By offering free areola reconstruction and scar camouflage for those who’ve undergone mastectomy, I hope to bring comfort, dignity, and beauty back into their lives.
Riado is more than a service – it’s a tribute to resilience, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, love can create light.
